GOST-K certification is a compulsory certification in Kazakhstan. The GOST-K certificate is issued by an organization authorized by the Federal Technical Supervision and Measurement Agency of Kazakhstan. In order to ensure that products meet Kazakhstan's standard requirements, whether it is Kazakhstan's domestic products or imported All products need to obtain GOST-K certification.
Having a GOST-K certificate means that the goods meet the relevant norms and standards, and are allowed to be imported into the Republic of Kazakhstan and used domestically. Government Regulation No. 367 promulgated on April 20, 2005 specifies the list of products requiring compulsory certification and their corresponding customs codes. Overall, the list of products on this list is significantly smaller than the list of mandatory certifications for products in Russia.
GOST-K certification is generally divided into three validity periods:
Single batch certification: only valid for one contract, Kazakhstan experts are generally not required to conduct factory audits;
One year validity: Generally a Kazakhstan expert is required to come to audit the factory system;
Three-year validity: Generally, two Kazakhstan experts are required to review the factory's system and test products. In addition, the factory needs to be monitored and audited every year.
