As a third-party certification and testing agency, we can provide professional verification and testing services according to different IP protection levels to help customers successfully pass the relevant standard tests.
IP protection level test introduction:
IP is an abbreviation for Ingress Protection.
Protection grade systems such as IP provide a way to classify products by the degree of dust, water and collision resistance of electrical equipment and packaging. This system has been recognized by most European countries and is certified by the International Electrotechnical Association IEC (International Electro Technical Commission) drafting.
The protection level is mostly expressed by IP followed by two numbers, which are used to clarify the protection level.
The first number indicates the extent to which the equipment is resistant to dust, or how much people are protected from harm in a sealed environment. I stands for the level of preventing solid foreign matter from entering, the highest level is 6;
The second ampere indicates the degree to which the device is waterproof. P stands for the level of protection against water ingress. The highest level is 8.
IP protection level classification requirements:
IPXX dust and water resistance rating
Dust level (the first X indicates)
0: No protection
1: Prevent large solids from entering
2: Prevents intrusion of medium-sized solids
3: Prevent small solids from entering
4: Prevent solid objects larger than 1mm from entering
5: Prevent the accumulation of harmful dust
6: completely prevent dust from entering
Waterproof level (indicated by the second X)
0: No protection
1: Water droplets have no effect on the shell
2: When the shell is tilted to 15 degrees, water droplets drip into the shell without effect
3: Water or rain has no effect from the 60 degree corner to the housing
4: The liquid is splashed into the shell from any direction without harm.
5: Rinse with water without any harm
6: Can be used in the cabin environment
7: Resistant to water in a short time (1m)
8: Long time immersion in water under a certain pressure
